The Game

Stud Poker is a five-card stud poker game in which the player has to try and beat the dealer's hand.

Stud Poker is played using a standard deck of 52 playing cards, shuffled after each round.

After the player has placed his Ante bet, he is dealt five cards face up. The dealer, instead, is dealt four cards face down and one face up.

Having seen his hand and the dealer’s face up card, the player may bet or fold.
If the player chooses to fold he loses his Ante bet and the game is over.
If he/she chooses to bet, the player places an additional bet equal to double the value of the Ante and the dealer’s cards are revealed.

However, to qualify and play the hand, the dealer must have at least an Ace and a King, or higher.

If the dealer doesn’t qualify, the player is paid even money for the Ante bet, but the main bet is returned.

If the dealer qualifies and has the highest hand the player’s Ante and main bet lose.

If the dealer qualifies but the player has the highest hand, the player’s Ante bet is paid even money, and the main bet is paid according to the following:
