The Game

3 Card Poker allows you to play two different games at the time: Pair Plus and Ante. The object of the Ante game is to achieve a higher hand than the Dealer. The object of the Pair Plus game is to get a 3-card hand containing at least one pair.

The games are played with 1 standard deck of 52 cards, shuffled after each round. You may play either game or both using the same 3 cards dealt. The card values follow Poker standards:

Ace - 14
King - 13
Queen - 12
Jack - 11
All other cards maintain their face value.

Hands are ranked using the following 3 Card Poker rankings.

Hand Hand Description
Straight Flush Three cards in sequence of the same suit
Three of a Kind Three cards of the same value
Straight Any three cards in sequence but not of the same suit
Flush Three cards of the same suit
One Pair Two cards of the same value and one unmatched card

Ante game
The object is to achieve a higher hand than the Dealer. The Dealer needs a Queen or a higher hand to play.
Once the player has placed the Ante bet, the player receives 3 cards face up and the Dealer receives 3 cards face down.
After viewing the cards, the player may fold, in which case the game is over and the Ante bet is lost.
If the player decides to play, he/she places an additional bet to the same value of the Ante and the Dealer's cards are revealed.

Payouts
Payouts are in accordance with the 4 following outcomes:

1) Dealer does not qualify.
Ante bet wins 1:1, Play Plus bet pushes

2) Dealer qualifies and Player beats Dealer.
Ante bet wins 1:1, Play Plus bet wins 1:1

3) Dealer qualifies and Dealer beats Player.
Ante bet loses, Play Plus bet loses

4) Dealer qualifies and the Dealer and the Player tie.
Ante bet pushes, Play Plus bet pushes

High Card Rules
If Player and Dealer both have High card only, the highest card wins.
If Dealer and Player tie on High card, the next highest card is used to break the tie. If this card also ties, the 3rd card is used to break the tie, if this card also ties Ante game is a push.

Ante game extra Bonus
Providing the Dealer qualifies, Ante bets pay an extra bonus in addition to the normal payouts on any of the following hands regardless of whether you beat the Dealer or not:

Hand Extra Bonus
Straight Flush 5/1
Three of a Kind 4/1
